St. Agnes Soup Kitchen

Please note:  The St. Agnes Soup Kitchen is now at a new location - Blessed Sacrament Church, 145 Victoria Ave.

Located at Blessed Sacrament Church (145 Victoria Ave), we serve a take-out only lunch every Thursday from 11:00am until 12:00pm.  Our lunch includes sandwiches with meat and cheese, fruit, vegetables, soup, juice and dessert.  Once a month we provide our guests with a special lunch, such as pasta with meat sauce, turkey with fixings, wieners and beans, etc, as well as beverages and desserts.  We also organize a summer picnic every year with hamburgers, sweet corn, salads, beverages and desserts.

Our numbers have been increasing and we now serve around 100 guests every week, which includes seniors, families, homeless, motel dwellers and individuals suffering from food insecurities.  Our weekly expenses are approximately $400 and up.  We donate any remaining lunches to Hope Haven so nothing is wasted.  We appreciate all financial donations in order to continue to serve our brothers and sisters through this much needed ministry.

We have volunteers who give of their time and who help us to serve a wholesome meal to our guests.  If you are interested in volunteering, we have volunteers that perform different duties to prepare the lunch for that day as well as handing out the meals.  If you wish to volunteer, please contact the office at 519-352-9483.

Donations for St Agnes Soup Kitchen are to be submitted to the parish office (located at St. Ursula Parish, 205 Tweedsmuir Ave W).
